United Internet has announced that it will be investing more in web-based business start-ups.
The company will be working with the Samwer brothers European Founders Fund, a key investor in internet and technology companies.
The partnership aims to offer the founders of companies a host of web services, giving them the chance to maximise customer access to professional marketing.
The expert companies new drive will see them take a larger stake in new companies, offering their expertise and services.
According to prominent members from both parties, it will be business start-ups which have more to gain from the new scheme, giving them the ability to pool their competencies and experiences of working with internet business.
On their European Founders website, they say: "We dont just invest in companies. We believe in partnering with the entrepreneurs we back and in bringing to bear all of out collective know-how, resources and relationships."
Ralph Dommermuth, CEO of United Internet, is quoted by Pressebox as saying: "With the aid of our high-reach portals, we can provide young companies with very effective support for their national and international expansion and thus significantly accelerate the growth of start-ups.
The Samwer brothers founded companies including eBay Germany and Jamba.
Oliver Samwer said: "The companies we invest in profit directly from our experience in establishing companies like alando (now eBay Germany) and Jamba. We can therefore lay the foundation as partners for fast and sustainable growth."
