IBM has expanded its software line specifically with small to medium-sized businesses in mind, to help them manage the quality of their software and run their network infrastructures more easily.
IBM Rational Build Forge Express Edition represents the first IBM software delivery technology that has been specifically developed, priced and marketed to meet the criteria for SMEs.
IBM says that the introduction of IBM Rational Build Forge Express Edition, together with its rational software delivery platform, provides a software delivery process management system that enables SMEs to "standardise and automate end-to-end software release processes and better govern compliance implementation".
The software line will help company directors to improve the web services of their organisations, enabling them to compete more successfully in todays global market.
IBM also announced the launch of IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Entry Edition, a new network management product that provides customers with accurate, real-time visibility of their network infrastructures.
Developed and priced for mid-market businesses and service providers, IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Entry Edition helps organisations visualise and understand the layout of networks in their environment, allowing them to grow according to market demands.

IBM Rational Build Forge Express Edition starts at £25,000 per server.
